Art Asia is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of the Southampton Mela Festival in 2025, now extended to an exciting two-day event!
Mark your calendars for Saturday 12th July, and Sunday 13th July 2025. Hoglands Park in Southampton city centre will once again come alive with vibrant performances, tantalising cuisine, and engaging activities for the whole family.
The Southampton Mela Festival remains a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar, celebrating the rich diversity of modern and traditional Asian culture. This expanded edition promises an even more eclectic experience, featuring world-class music and dance acts across three stages, along with creative workshops, family-friendly activities, and a bustling marketplace of stalls. Southampton Mela Festival is the largest free festival in the city.

Performances and acts have grown to the point that we want to expand to a 2-day festival to accommodate the widest variety of wonderful entertainment and community performances possible. We look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy world music performances, amazing cuisine, and engaging workshops—bringing our vibrant community together once more.”
Line up to be announced!
Visitors can expect a stellar line up of local talent and internationally acclaimed artists. The full line up will be revealed in early 2025. The line up on Sunday will be specifically suited to family audiences and community acts, offering a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. On site across the weekend there will be a diverse array of delicious dishes, showcasing flavours from around the world. Families can enjoy interactive workshops, fun activities, and engaging performances suitable for all ages.

With over two decades of history, the Southampton Mela Festival has grown to attract thousands from across the South Coast. This expanded two-day event promises to be the biggest and best yet—don’t miss out!
The Mela will run from 12pm – 10pm on Saturday 12th July and 12pm – 6pm on Sunday 13th July, 2025.
