Our activities include…
- The annual Southampton Mela Festival – a free festival for all
- Subsidised classes in Asian music and dance
- High-quality classical and popular concerts, dance and drama featuring the best local, national and international artists.
- Stimulating and informative music and dance workshops, demonstrations and performances for educational and community events.
We have been working since 1981 to promote and develop high quality South Asian arts, music and dance across the Southern Region and your support makes all the difference.
Costs
Associate Members:
(entitled to elect up to 2 Associate Directors)
- £5.00 single
- £10.00 family
(2 adults plus children under 18)
Full Members:
(entitled to vote at elections* and become a Director)
- £10.00 per person
*subject to Art Asia’s Constitution which states “only those persons who have been Full Members for three months prior to the Annual General Meeting shall have the right to participate in election for the Board of Directors”.
Membership runs 1 April of the year joining to 31 March of the following year, subject to Art Asia’s Constitution which states “only those persons who have been Full Members for three months prior to the Annual General Meeting shall have the right to participate in election for the Board of Directors”.
Art Asia is a company limited by guarantee. As a member, your liability is limited to £1.00 Membership is subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
