Festival Details:

  • Site Opening: 11:00
  • Entertainment Begins: 12:00
  • Official Opening by the Lord Mayor of Southampton on the Main Stage: 13:00

Main Stage Extravaganza (12:00 – 22:00)

Experience the heart-thumping beats and mesmerizing performances on the Main Stage! Highlights include:

  • Bhangra Headliners: Happe Singh, Sadi Jodi, and Shin DCS bringing high-energy rhythms.
  • The Khan Brothers: A spectacular showcase of traditional and contemporary sounds.
  • Bollywood and Sufi Melodies: Performed by the enchanting Pooja Angra & Karan Rana.
  • Dance Delights: Rakhi Sood and the TMC dancers with their stunning choreography.
  • Classical Elegance: Dalia Pathak and the Tarangini Dance Group showcasing traditional Indian dance forms.
  • Musical Mastery: Pandit Sanju Sahai, Jaymini Sahai, and their talented Musical Friends.
  • Newcomers: The Grand Union All Stars making their debut at the festival.
  • Mobile Melodies: The Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, also spreading joy as they roam the site.
  • Cultural Dance: Ipsita Roy and Abanti Chakrabarty in Sristy – The Creation of Life, performing Odissi and Bharatnatyam.
  • Bhangra, Pop, and Bollywood Fusion: By the vibrant Sazia Judge.

World Stage Wonders (12:00 – 20:15)

Travel the globe through music and dance with world-class acts representing diverse cultures from South East Asia, Italy, China, Africa and Afghanistan. Join us for an eclectic mix of global music and beats that will keep you moving all day long!

Community Stage Showcases (12:00 – 19:00)

Discover the rising stars of tomorrow with the best showcases of Art Asia’s students and community groups. Watch captivating music and dance performances that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of our community. Come along and support the talented artists and enjoy the diversity of performances that make our community shine.

Immerse yourself in the joyous atmosphere of the Southampton Mela Festival and celebrate the diverse cultures that make our city unique. With something for everyone, this festival is not to be missed!
